Overview
Our Ramaḍān Fasting Essentials for Youth course is a short, three-week program designed to prepare students for the blessed month of Ramaḍān. It caters to a wide range of students, from those fasting the month in full for the first time to those who wish to gain a deeper understanding of the rulings, responsibilities and virtues of Ramaḍān.
The course provides clear, age-appropriate guidance to help students approach the month with confidence, awareness and a sense of responsibility in their worship.
Course Objective
The primary objective of this course is to equip students with the knowledge and confidence required to fulfil their religious duties during the noble month of Ramaḍān, with particular emphasis on the pillar of fasting.
Students will follow a series of structured and introductory lessons focused on safeguarding the validity of their fast and maximising the spiritual benefit of the month, presented in a clear, engaging and practical manner.

Shaykh Abdullatief Domingo
Teacher
Shaykh Abdullatief Domingo, originally from the Cape Malay community of South Africa, began his journey in Qur’an memorisation at Darul Uloom Zakariyyah and Darul Uloom Azadville in South Africa, completing his hifdh in Brisbane, Queensland under Qari Fida Rahman.
He later pursued tertiary studies at the University of Western Sydney, graduating with a degree in English, Modern History, and Politics in Islamic Lands. Alongside his academic studies, he continued to study a range of traditional Islamic texts, focusing on Shafi‘i fiqh, Aqeedah, and Ihsan, both locally and in South Africa.
He now shares his knowledge and experience as a teacher at Daar Ibn Abbas.
