The founder and director of Daar Aisha Shariah College and Imam of Daar Tahfizul Qur’an.

    After completing his high school education in French, Shaykh Abdul Moez studied for nine years in various countries around the world including Tunisia (Zaytuna Institute), Syria (Muhaddith Al-Akbar Institute & Al-Fath Institute) and Egypt (Al-Azhar University – Faculty of Tafseer). After completing his degree in Islamic studies, he specialised in Hadith – (Syria) and the sciences of the Qur’an (Egypt).

    Shaykh Abdel Moez continues his studies at various institutes around the world and gives regular talks and lessons throughout the week, currently teaching Qur’anic Exegesis, Arabic Grammar, Tarbiyyah (spiritual advancement and ennoblement of character); Prophetic Traditions, Seerah, Aqeedah, and Fiqh.

    In 2005 Shaykh Abdel Moez successfully completed courses in the English Language: English for further Study and English for Academic purposes. Additionally, he also studied courses in Secular Law and Australian Society & Culture.


    Shaykh Abdul Karim Abdullah is the head teacher at Daar Tahfizul Qur’an.

    The school currently caters for full-time and part-time students wishing to memorise the Noble Qur’an. The school has already produced many students who have memorised the Noble Qur’an and have now advanced to seeking further Islamic knowledge both locally and abroad.

    Shaykh Abdul Karim began his studies by memorising the Noble Qur’an in Pakistan and gained Ijaza (authorisation to teach) from Shaykh Khalid Barakat in the Hafs form of recitation.

    Shaykh Abdul Karim continues his studies under Shaykh Abdul Moez and Shaykh Khalid Bouchafaa.


    Shaykh Ibrahim Abdullah has studied under the guidance of the illustrious scholars of Tarim, Hadramawt for the past 6 years. While in Tarim, Ustadh Ibrahim was privileged to share audience with several notable scholars including Habib Umar bin Salim bin Hafidh, Habib Ali Al-Jifri and Habib Kathim Al-Saqqaf.

    Born and raised in Sydney, Australia. Memorised Quran in Australia at the age of 17. He then travelled to Yemen to study at a branch of Dar Al-Mustafa for 1 year.

    Later traveled to Damascus Syria and graduated from Ma’had Al-Fath Al-Islami . Focusing on Arabic and Shariah Sciences and received an Ijaza in Quran.

    Returned to Australia 2012 and has since been Imam at Lakemba Musalla (42 Haldon st).


    Shaykh Omar Habbouche was born and raised Sydney, Australia and graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Information Systems. He then worked in the capacity of a Network Engineer for various large multinational companies.

    During this time, Ustadh Omar attended various Islamic lessons and studied under a number of local Shaykhs from Sydney, as well as being a student in Daar Aisha.

    In late 2005, Shaykh Omar travelled to Hadramut Valley, Yemen, in search of sacred knowledge. He spent three years in the blessed city of Tarim, enrolled at Daar Al-Mustafa School for Islamic Sciences and Purification, learning from its illustrious scholars. In Dar Al-Mustafa, Ustadh Omar studied Fiqh, Tajweed, Aqeedah, Seerah, Hadith, Mustalah Hadith, Tarbeyyah, Dawah Methodology, Tafseer, Arabic Grammar, Usool al Fiqh and Inheritance Law.

    While in Tarim, Shaykh Omar was privileged to share audience with notable scholars including Al Habib Umar bin Salim bin Hafidh, Habib Ali Al-Jifri, Habib Kathim al-Saqqaf and Sheikh Umar Al-Khateeb.
